Cause frenzy in GTA IV with this mod
Carmageddon - GTA IV is a free mod for Grand Theft Auto IV. It allows players to give all types of cars, excluding a selected few, the ability to accelerate automatically no matter where they are — as long as the wheels of the said vehicles are in contact with a surface.
In using Carmageddon - GTA IV, users can effectuate a negative base friction on the wheels by altering the handling.dat file of the game, which is responsible for the physics constants for the vehicles. This means the cars accelerate even if the tires touch the ceiling or the walls.
Turn Liberty City into ruins
Carmageddon - GTA IV is a modification program to send all vehicles — with a few exceptions — in the fourth installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise into chaos. With this game mod, cars can’t be parked, stopped at a red light, or halted for any reason. Expect all the drivers to wreak havoc on the streets of Liberty City and send them into destruction.
This mod can also be used in the two expansion packs collectively called Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City. This means players can send the worlds of these two separate campaigns from the main game into a frenzy, as well. However, if you want to reset the game or start over on a clean slate, you can simply uninstall the mod.
While this mod is good for what it does, it contains some drawbacks that are unmissable. The installation process is unclear, and it only has a tutorial on how to set it up. There are also instances where a pop-up window appears saying the file is corrupted even after doing the provided solution by the developer, making it inaccessible or possibly unsafe for your device.
An acceptable car mod for users
All in all, Carmageddon - GTA IV is a passable mod when installed safely on your device if you want to cause destruction using vehicles in the open environment of Grand Theft Auto IV or Episodes from Liberty City. However, there is a possibility of facing some difficulties even before you can install the mod due to unclear installation instructions and corrupted files.
